The song dates back a few years already, but the remake of this video still captures my imagination. It's energetic, colorful, loud, rhythmic and well crazy. 'Nuff said: see it for yourself.

Photographer Cat Stevens
Nogstalgic, carefree, zeitgeist
Cat Stevens is a London based photographer that captures the essence of a lazy sunny afternoon perfectly. His style is nostalgic, carefree and relaxed but with a dark twist.
Enough said, let's watch...

Azzedine Alaïa in the 21th century. Exposition at Groninger Museum, Netherlands
Azzedine Alaïa at The Groninger Museum
december 11th 2011 - may 6th 2012
Alaïa is considered to be one of the last remaining great couturiers. He is well known for his use of fabrics, it's almost as if his clothing fits the body like a second skin. He has a great eye for silhouettes and use of fabrics. This unique kind of designing let him on to in vending stretch, which resulted in the invention of the legging.
At the Groninger museum his work of the last decade (2000 - 2011) is on display. Not by date, but by fabric and color. This results in to an interesting glimpse in the head of the master himself.
It shows his love for snake skin, chiffon, leather, wool and lycra.
Also fascinating is the amount of (jaw dropping) handwork he puts into his creations. Every detail, every inch is sheer perfection.

| One of my favorite pieces is a black chiffon/snake skin dress from the summer 2010 couture collection. It shows exactly what Alaïa is capabel of: fine craftmanship with a clear vision. |
