This time 'round in sugary tunes an golden oldie: Melanie Safka. This American singer had some great hits in the late 60s and early 70s. Inspired by my mom, who was a teenager at that time, here's a little taste of the free spirit of the 70s. Enjoy!

Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin. Nowadays it is fairly easy to direct your life, your digital life that is. In the comfort of your own home, behind your computer you can define excactly how you want to come across and create your own little fairytale. But all that digital content usually doesn't last a long time, before you know it those stories and photos are replaced by newer ones.

This is where Phasebook comes in. It's an analog reaction to the digital highway of social media. Phasebook is created by dutch graphic designer Jorgen Koolwijk. He did research on a group of 30-something people that are in one way or another connected to each other by social networks. It resulted in the artbook 'Phasebook', in which recent portrets are accompanied by old photos, handwritten stories, anekdotes and drawings. The past and the present combined make an interesting reflection on former dreams, ambitions, ideas and todays reality.

Oh and i would like to take this moment for a official countdown, as you all might have noticed the last few weeks there weren't that many blogposts by me...well this had everything to do with the fact i am currently doing an internship at the marketing department of a company that is called BeddingHouse (it designs and distributes bedding for different compagnies such as Beddinghouse, Auping and Ariadne at Home). For more info check: www.beddinghouse.nl. I really had a good time during this internship and as the icing on the cake, i am busy with the photography of the fall/winter 2012 collection. But this week will be officially the last week of this internship, so its back to school for me after this --> which will mean a lot more time on my hands, and of course a lot more updates via this blog!
